Point Petre Recreation Area


Description: A coastal area with pebble beaches, limestone cliffs, meadow and mixed hardwoods. An enclosed marsh adjoining on the north is off Soup Harbour. This is part of a large Federal reserve and open to day visitors only. Camping is forbidden.

Plants of note: Twin Leaf, Harebell, Columbine. Grey Beardtongue and Dutchman's Breeches. In the marsh are Yellow Loosestrife, Woundwort and Wild Basil.

Access: From County road # 24.
