Wildflowers by seed colour
Asparagus belongs to the Lily family as do onion and garlic. The plants we find in the wild are probably escapes from asparagus farms. It is not unusual to find in the wild a waist-high stalk that is edible for its full length. The seed is green, maturing to a bright red.
