Marsh Fern

Thelypteris palustris

Found in the shallow wetlands on knolls and at edges. Its bright green makes it stand out among the reeds and sedges. Spores are found on the fertile frond backs, lower right. Note the rolled edges of the fertile fronds, lower left. These fronds are often darker green than the infertile fronds in September.
